Ingredients:
4 slices of whole grain bread
large eggs (or 4 egg whites)
1/4 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
Cooking spray or a small amount of butter for the pan
Cooking Instructions:
In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs (or egg whites), protein powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and almond milk until well combined.
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray or butter.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg and protein mixture, ensuring both sides are coated evenly.
Place the coated bread slices onto the preheated skillet or griddle and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Once cooked, remove the French toast from the skillet and serve warm with your favorite toppings such as fresh berries, natural yogurt, a drizzle of honey, or a sprinkle of nuts or seeds.
